This page provides an overview of the procedures and eligibility requirements for applying for Mensa membership using a Wechsler Intelligence Scale (WISC / WAIS) test report.
It is intended for applicants who do not take the Mensa Taiwan Intelligence Test and instead apply using a Wechsler IQ test administered by a qualified medical institution.
Eligibility
This application method applies to applicants who meet one of the following conditions:
Applicants aged 18 or above who wish to apply for membership in Mensa Taiwan using a Wechsler IQ test report
Applicants under the age of 18 who wish to apply for membership in Mensa International using a Wechsler IQ test report
📌 Please note that, depending on the applicant’s age, the applicable Mensa organization and subsequent procedures will differ. Kindly review the information below carefully.
Why are applicants under 18 required to apply to Mensa International?
In accordance with regulations issued by Taiwan’s Ministry of the Interior governing civic organizations (incorporated associations), Mensa Taiwan currently does not accept members under the age of 18.
Therefore, applicants under 18 must apply for membership in Mensa International, which does not impose an age restriction, by submitting a Wechsler IQ test report.
All applications will first be reviewed by Mensa Taiwan.
Upon successful review, Mensa Taiwan will assist in notifying Mensa International and in transferring the relevant application documents.
Once the applicant reaches the age of 18, they may, in accordance with the prevailing regulations at that time, apply to transfer their membership to Mensa Taiwan or apply for Guest Membership with Mensa Taiwan.
